Hi, I’m Roselyn Romero!

I am a journalist and writer based in Oakland, California. I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo last year with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and minors in Spanish, ethnic studies, and women’s & gender studies.

I recently wrapped up my internship at NBC Bay Area as an Investigative Unit intern. Previously, I was the inaugural Ida B. Wells Society for Investigative Reporting intern for the Global Investigations team of The Associated Press. Before that internship, I was the senior content producer at KSBY, the NBC-affiliated local TV news station serving San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties.

I have experience reporting on breaking news, writing investigative and enterprise stories, creating content for social media platforms, and editing videos.

Outside of the newsroom, you can find me reading books, powerlifting, hiking, watching “Jeopardy!” with my boyfriend, and religiously playing The New York Times’ Wordle and Spelling Bee games every day.

If you’re interested in contacting me for personal or business inquiries, feel free to do so on my Contact page.

Thank you for stopping by!
